Who is Tri2?
Tri2 Coaching
Head Coach Richard
Richard is a certified Ironman coach, sports coach, physical education teacher, sport scientist, sport fanatic and triathlete. Sport has been a passion of his from a very young age. After a knee injury prevented him from a rugby career, he discovered triathlon – a sport he has been obsessed with ever since.
He has competed in almost every triathlon distance possible, from super sprint to full Ironman. In recent years, he has specialised in 70.3 distance and moved from first timer to age grouper to World Championship qualifier.
Coach Sophie
Sophie is a triathlon coach, triathlete and healthy eating enthusiast. She first discovered triathlon by competing in sprint distance events in Cornwall (UK) in 2015 and has been racing ever since. Now she specialises in Ironman 70.3 distance. At Xiamen Ironman 70.3 in 2019, Sophie won her age group and qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship (hopefully happening in Utah 2021).
Sophie has always enjoyed coaching others and encouraging them to enjoy healthy eating and exercise. She discovered triathlon when writing a successful healthy eating and fitness blog called ‘100 Healthy Days’ that was featured in Women’s Health magazine UK and Australia. Sophie wants to help more women discover this amazing sport and show them that there is no limit to what they can achieve.
Tri2 Journey
Richard and Sophie are a triathlon couple, currently based in Dubai. They met in Singapore and have been building their triathlon careers together ever since. Having met in Singapore, founded Tri2 in the UK and currently residing in the UAE, they love to coach, train with and continue to meet triathletes from all over the world.

What is the time period and cost?
The time period for all programmes are either monthly or for a period of 4 months (at a reduced cost).
Do you offer a trial period?
Yes, on any of our 4 month programmes, we offer a 1 month trial period for both the athlete and coach, to ensure they are compatible. At any point in the first month of the programme can either the athlete or the coach end the programme. At which point the athlete will be refunded the remaining 3 months of the overall fee.
What if I become injured?
Your programme is tailored to you and your coach will monitor the load of training throughout and any causes for concern that may arise, to avoid any unexpected injuries. If, for any reason you become injured, the situation will be assessed to see if your training can be adjusted to take your injury into account. If you are unable to train at all then your programme will be frozen until you’re able to train again.
Refund policy?
At any point in the first month of the programme, either the athlete or the coach can end the programme. At which point, the athlete will be refunded the remaining 3 months of the overall fee. Refunds are not offered outside of this period. If you are unable to train then you can discuss freezing your fees with your coach until you’re able to train again.
