Tri2 Values
Our love of triathlon grew when we found a partner to share it with. Our enjoyment of triathlon grew when we found a triathlon club to train with. Our triathlon results improved the moment we found a coach to guide and support us. Triathlon may be an individual sport but we are better together. We want to inspire a community of triathletes to dare to dream by offering coaching as well as sharing our journey and everything we learn along the way.

Richard Farren
Head Coach
Richard is a certified Ironman coach, sports coach, physical education teacher, sport scientist, sport fanatic and triathlete. Sport has been a passion of his from a very young age. After a knee injury prevented him from a rugby career, he discovered triathlon – a sport he has been obsessed with ever since.
He has competed in almost every triathlon distance possible, from super sprint to full Ironman. In recent years, he has specialised in 70.3 distance and moved from first timer to age grouper to World Championship qualifier.
With a decade of coaching triathlon under his belt, a first class honours degree in Exercise and Sport Science, and a Masters in Education, Richard is ready to help you achieve your triathlon goals!

Sophie King
Coach
Sophie is a certified Ironman coach and accomplished triathlete with a passion for helping others unlock their potential through endurance sport. Since discovering triathlon in 2015, she has gone on to specialise in Ironman 70.3 races, earning multiple podium finishes and achieving a personal best time of 4:49 at Ironman 70.3 Warsaw.
A highlight was winning her age group at Ironman 70.3 Xiamen in 2019, qualifying for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship. She also completed her first full Ironman in Vitoria-Gasteiz before becoming a proud mum of two boys.
Now training for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella in November 2025, Sophie combines her experience as a triathlon coach, teacher, athlete and parent to support others in finding balance, building confidence, and achieving their goals โ whether thatโs completing a first race or chasing a new PB.
