This is one of my favourite breakfasts and reminds me of apple crumble. Porridge is the most reliable breakfast for making sure I have the energy to tackle long bike rides and runs.

Serves 2
Prep Time 10 mins

Ingredients

250ml oat milk
2 apples grated
1 banana, chopped
1 tbsp cinnamon
140g porridge oats
1 tbsp maple syrup
50g chopped walnuts

Method

  1. Pour the oat milk into a saucepan and begin to heat. Add grated apples, banana, cinnamon and mix.
  2. Pour in the oats and continue to stir for 5 minutes.
  3. Test for sweetness and add maple syrup if needed. Finish by stirring in chopped walnuts.
